Happy Thanksgiving!

Game Update

Still looking to update and fix the difficulty setting that we had working from before. It is going faster than last time which is good. We are running into a problem in which the troops are not standing up when we heal them. If I remember right it’s an order of operations problem. We just need to re-order some functions.

I hope we can finish this and move on to building out a lot of random events to prepare for an additional stage release soon. It’s harder to come up with random events that could happen anywhere than I had originally thought. Hopefully I’ll be able to make some things that feel cohesive.

Personal Update

Another crazy weekend with Thanksgiving, gift shopping, and my normal weekend activities. It was very busy for me. Luckily everything worked out well and I was able to host Thanksgiving, get my boys their early Christmas presents, do my black Friday shopping, spend time with family and friends, and even get a solid run in.

The morning of the run I tripped and scraped up my hand pretty good, but I was undaunted and still managed to run four miles. My adrenaline kicked in and I didn’t feel pain until I stopped running. Hoping it heals up quickly as it was a pretty nasty fall.

My Wyrmwood DM screen finally arrived after 15 months and so I’m in the process of putting some finishing touches on it so that it will be ready for some Dungeons and Dragons or other role playing game. I hope that my buddies can use it for their Star Wars RPG game too. I’m still not sure if I made a good choice in purchasing it. My D&D lifestyle was much different back then. I haven’t been playing much lately and I’ve had some issues getting paid players.

I had some holiday blues earlier in the week but once things got rolling it seemed to go away. Maybe I’m to busy to let it affect me. I may have to deal with it again when the boys are away for Christmas again this year. Hopefully I’ll finally be able to get my garage fixed while they are away.
